A Law Firm Built for the Courtroom
Stroebel & Stroebel was founded on a simple observation: the law firms that recover the most for their clients are not the firms that talk the loudest about settlement. They are the firms the other side does not want to face in front of a jury. Settlement value is a function of trial credibility, and that credibility is built one prepared file at a time.
We built this practice as a deliberate counterweight to the volume model that dominates so much of the personal injury industry. We are not a settlement mill. We do not sign every case that walks through the door, and we do not hand files off to junior staff. When we accept a matter, a principal attorney reads every motion, prepares every key witness, and stands in the courtroom when it is time to try the case.
Larger firms move fast and settle early because their economics demand it. We move deliberately because our clients deserve it. From the day a file opens we are working the trial book — themes, exhibits, demonstrative evidence, expert development, and the disciplined discovery that separates real cases from inflated ones. Adjusters and defense counsel recognize that posture, and the numbers move because of it.
We serve West Virginians who have been seriously hurt, charged with a crime, mistreated by an employer, or wronged by a government actor. We take their cases because the consequences for them are permanent — and because we believe a small firm with real trial experience is the right kind of help when the stakes will not come around again.
